I didn't catch the depth of strings on the first listen.

This new album might be a return to mastery.

It sounds like a computer-generated track with all the bass and treble scooped out and laid over the wails of a cat in heat.

Millions and millions of people are fans of Beyonce too. So that argument is dumb.

I'm taking back my original comment after giving it a few more listens. The song has some good depth and it does sound like it could be part of a score for a movie.

I'm starting to get excited about the new album! Hopefully it's longer than KOL, which was almost an EP.

But the fact that you think they are so overrated tells me you taste in music is about as bad as your opinions on the PB.

Please, tell me who is under-rating Radiohead. I happen to overall dislike them, but being over-rated doesn't necessarily mean someone thinks an artist is bad. It just means they are given TOO much credit. Radiohead have 3-5 songs that I really enjoy. They have many others that I find like the other guy said - nails on a chalkboard. Kid A is total garbage and is probably where the true overrating began.

I like Led Zeppelin. A lot. But they are definitely over-rated.

Oh man. That hits me right in the nose. Everything in its Right Place, The National Anthem, How to Disappear Completely, and Idioteque are among my all time favorite songs.

True, but I am not claiming that Beyonce is overrated. She is extremely good at what she does. I do not enjoy Beyonce's music, but I can admit that she probably isn't overrated.

I think its safe to say that the music is just over his head, and he he is too insecure to admit it.

As an example, I don't "get" Sigur Ros, but I can appreciate the fact that they are extremely talented, and most of their hype is warranted.

Look - I appreciate and applaud the fact that Kid A was at least an attempt to do something new and different. I have no problem with that whatsoever and I hate when artists get accused of "selling out" or "abandoning their roots" or whatever. BUT...at the end of the day, the songs have to actually be good. It's almost impossible for me to believe that anyone could ever derive pleasure from listening to Idioteque. Serious question: are drugs required to improve the enjoyment? I'm listening to it right now for the first time in years, and good lord, it's bad! I mean, it's atmospheric - I could see it used effectively in a movie or something. But I'm just imagining getting in my car and "putting on some tunes" with this thing...I don't know man.

The calling card of those defending the over-rated.

Also, I never said Radiohead weren't talented. I view them as squandering their talent. It's hard for me to believe that the same cast that put out the brilliant Paranoid Android also put out Idioteque.

Weird comparison. I've been of RH's biggest fans over the years, and I can point out quite a few other contrasts from Paranoid Android that makes you wonder. Other than Tree Fingers, nothing on Kid A is something I would consider "bad". I could point to King of Limbs as an example as a whole.

Just......not sure about this song.

Have listened to it a couple of more times. I will say this is some of the best vocal work Thom has done in a while.

I remember when Coldplay sounded like Radiohead. Now Radiohead sounds like Coldplay.

It's honestly not a bad song, but it's wholly uninspiring.

Answering your own question there. As someone who loved every album up to Kid A, I think he has a point. It's weird that they seem to have started getting the most praise as their music began declining in quality.

For years, I was a part of the group that thought Radiohead could do no wrong.

I was incorrect.

You think the album drops randomly pretty soon?

Think it comes out sometime in May?
