His new album good kid m.A.A.d city comes out on the 22nd. It has already been leaked on the internet. Pharrell called Kendrick this era's Bob Dylan. I'm sure he will be a household name once the new album drops. I have listened to it and it has to be the best hip hop album of the last 15 to 20 years.

Wow, high praise. Dude, 20 years is a really long time. Downloaded it and havent had a chance to listen yet. Im old, and theres no way its better than enter the 36 or ready to die or illmatic or midnight marauders or blackstar. I could go on, but i think you get the point. Im sure that shite is amazing because dude is legit, but 20 years?

Yes. Just take the time out and listen to the album one time, just one time, and I'm sure you will change your thinking. The album is absolutely beautiful.

You are right. Closer to 15 years rather than 20. Its better than any Tribe album and Blackstarr. Its at least as good as Ready To Die. I would say its close to the level of Illmatic.

I really like the album but there's albums in recent years that I wouldnt put GKMC over. Boy Meets World, Below The Heavens, and College Dropout are as good as or better than this, IMHO.

Never really lived up to what I expected him to be. But then again the first song I ever heard of his was HiiiPower and he hasn't put out a song as good yet.

It's good but probably hovering in a #15 spot of best rap albums of the past 10 years.

A lot of people are REALY shooting their wad over it. Couple of killer tracks on it tho most definitely.

Trill I dunno if you will like it as much as Ready To Die judging by your taste(no disrespect) but ya never know. The album follows a concept with stories about Kendrick's city, Compton.

I listened to GKMC yesterday. I need to give it another spin. Right now Section 80> GKMC. Will give it a few more spins though.

Same here. Watch out if we keep agreeing we could become buddies.
