It's crap. I have 17 free tix as well but when I tried to actually use the voucher code it said it wouldn't work. I think what's going on is once an event's tix go on sale, you have to rush to use them with your code because there is a small # that they'll allow per show and once that fills up you're screwed. No surprise they're making it extremely difficult to use. Very frustrating

they have been adding throughout the morning i believe.

some of you need to breathe easy. you dont have to use all 28 tickets this week. come back in a few days and see where things stand. maybe itll suck terribly, maybe you pick up a few free tickets to shows youd be on the fence about paying for and enjoy yourself. no reason to complain yet.

also im seeing some big names in the list. gary clark jr would definitely be one that i snag. but legit summer ampitheater shows going up there, not just crappy tuesday night local battle of the high school bands.

id venture that we see a lot of the champions square shows with essentially unlimited general admission potential getting loaded in here.

The detail is in the fine print as to why the free ticket vouchers will be tough to redeem.

Ticketmaster needs to have $10.5 million worth of redemption a year for each of the next 4 years between discount vouchers ($2.25 each), UPS vouchers ($5 each) and free tickets. Obviously they would rather have the majority of that $10.5 million be from the discount vouchers as they would still be receiving revenue from the transaction. If they get $10.5 million in redemption over the next 12 months in just discount, and UPS vouchers, none of the free ticket vouchers will be valid over the next 12 months.

You should pretty much expect the worst with ticketmaster. Doubtful I will use half of my vouchers.

im not expecting it to be 11 pairs of awesome tickets to dream shows.

if i snag a few GA tickets to decent shows, i am fine with the outcome.

I got 17 discount codes for $2.25 off and 17 ticket codes for 2 GA tickets each. Unfortunately for me, none of the 400+ shows on the eligible events list are in CO at the moment

I just called customer service to ask about my vouchers and they said the system was down and to check back around 3 central. I have a feeling this will become the norm.

i hate ticketmaster as much as the next person....

but i still assume rolling out something like this for a HUGE number of people, and it being day 1.... with everyone and their brother trying to get tickets to everything..... there will be extra hiccups.

hopefully in a week when people get annoyed and give up/forget itll smooth out some.

FWIW I just went on and redeemed one of my vouchers for 2 lawn tickets to a July show with no issues. I applied the discount code at checkout and the $74 value (2 GA seats, taxes, fees, etc) came up as owing $0. Got an email with the link to print my tickets as well.

So...so far so good it looks like.
