anyone know ticketmasters rule on re-selling tickets?

can you redeem the vouchers then sell the tickets?

I don't see how they could stop you but I imagine it would be a terrible market for selling if millions of free codes are out there

great question, since that's what I was going to do with everyone of my codes.

I bought 2 tix yesterday to test it out ($74 value, paid zero, so good there). In the email I got, I have the option to print at home which I would prefer to do, but idk if the person I sell to on stubhub can use if it's in my name? On the livenation site after I purchased, they have the option right there to sell or transfer. For sell, I'm not doing that because I don't want to link up my bank acct info to livenation's site. I'd rather just sell through stubhub or otherwise. They also have the option to "transfer" which appears free but I didnt' look into it.

What show out of curiosity? The ones on the list I tried were a big fat "doesn't apply".

There's still none listed in Louisiana or Houston. I am guessing they are still in the process of adding shows.

I see a bunch, are you on the right site?

LINK

then click "location" to sort it alphabetically.

corey smith. I hate corey smith, but a cursory glance at stubhub showed his as being the highest price tickets of the few I checked. Get free tix, sell tix..profit.

I tried multiple concerts and got invalid. What show did you do particularly? I tried Zombie/Korn, Prophets of Rage, Disturbed/BB/AB/Saint Asonia

I pulled up the list of eligible shows that I linked above. Found the corey smith one, hit "find tickets" and got to the payment screen like normal, C&P the voucher code from my ticketmaster voucher page, and then checked out.

I am on the same site you linked and it says this at the top
quote:

New Orleans & More (0) There are no matching events in New Orleans & More.

Then lists all of the locations below. I went through all and there are no shows in New Orleans. I do see some for Houston now that weren't there yesterday so I guess there are still adding shows.

Ok so I went in my email and printed off the tickets that livenation emailed me.

-It has my name on it, should I be concerned about that since I intend to sell? I suppose that the buyer will see my return address when I ship them anyway so probably not an issue, just curious.
-Also as far as my name being on them, will the eventual buyer have any problems getting in since it has my name? I looked over the fine print on the ticket and it doesn't say anythign about this.

-With stubhub, all I've ever sold on there is football tickets. Actual printed tickets from the school. I've never sold a piece of paper that I printed off from my email...would there be any issues with this?

Idk, this is new to me. I guess if I purhcased concert tix from an individual online and received 2 printed off papers I would just be like, "this is it?"

Yeah all of them were on that list. Out of curiosity, is the show in Atlanta? I'm wondering if they aren't allowing people to purchase tickets outside of XXX miles, as all the ones I tried were Dallas as I have family there and could make a visit/trip out of any concert.

Yes.

So, apparently a shitton of people are using their vouchers then selling them, I'm guessing, because I just tried to buy more tickets for other shows and it's not letting me. The first one I tried, it said my voucher code didn't work (or specifically, try again another time). No biggie. So I tried several more (both local and not local) and most of them don't even show any GA/Lawn seats available. The ones that do have available, it doesnt' even give the option to put in a code. It's put in your credit card or nothing.

They expire in 2020. I'm sure the smarter thing to do is let people blow their wads early and freak out now. I wonder though...just how many vouchers are out there, specifically with scalpers. Is it going to become a competitive market just to use the things?

ETA: A distance criteria would actually stop scalpers from being able to use them, so maybe.

That's my plan, especially with nothing on the Gulf Coast listed yet. I almost got Flight of the Conchords in Atlanta but stopped because we supposedly have 4 years of choices

guess that's what I'll do too.

I've tried multiple shows now and I get the same thing, either it shows no general admission/lawn seats avialable (wtf?) or it doesn't give you the option at checkout to apply the code.

I'm wondering if maybe Livenation sees that I used a code for a show and maybe it won't let me use one again for a while to prevent scalping?

They probably already gave away the amount of vouchers for that particular show.

interesting, I didn't realize there were a certain amount of vouchers per given show.

I assumed that all the shows on their "list" were eligible.
