If you are even remotely a fan of this band do not miss this tour. These boys absolutely blew the roof off T-Mobile last night. Amazing.

Could Axl actually sing?

Based on all the YouTube videos, Axl sounds better now than he has in YEARS. Can't wait to see them in NOLA.

Axl sounded great. I was really worried about this aspect of the show. Knew Duff and Slash would bring it. If they can stay health and not kill each other this tour is going to be epic.

Well that changes my mind on going to see them. I had no desire to see a shitty Axl performance like he did on that awards show years ago. Now I may go check them out.

I have always said I was out if it wasn't the original 5 AFD lineup. The footage I have seen from the past week's shows in LA & Vegas have completely changed me. I am coming to the Superdome show. I hope his voice holds up & this stadium tour actually happens. They played COMA in Vegas! That came out of nowhere. By far the best song on the Illusion albums.

Coma was amazing. They did some great covers also. Don't want to post too much and ruin a great show for those that will be going. First time seeing the new Alice in chains also. The lead singer and Jerry harmonize very well.

I've been watching some videos from the shows. Axl isn't vintage Axl...but he's way better than I expected.

Gonna have to go see this.

I posted this link in another thread. They have done a great job at compiling videos from the Vegas shows. Axl is definitely sounding better than he has in years. It's almost like he has been rejuvenated with Slash and Duff back in the band. Check out the video for This I Love, he absolutely kills it. Chinese Democracy was just missing Slash. LINK

This I Love is truly a great song. Actually, the last five tracks on Chinese Democracy are all extremely good. The album is way better than it gets credit for.

They started late the first Vegas show but were right on time for the second. Doesn't matter. If they're playing 25 songs and 2 and a half hours every night I can wait.

I would like to see Izzy join them for a show or 2. Probably won't happen tho.

Could they possibly release new material after this tour?

I don't want to be there until 3 in the morning though.

I agree. The album is incredibly underrated. As it was though, a lot of GnR fans don't want to accept it as a GnR record because no other classic members are on it. Had Slash been playing the solos on the record, I think fans would have been more accepting of it. What we are seeing now with the performance of those songs in Vegas with Slash's solos contrasting with Axl's vocals I think is what most fans had wanted Chinese Democracy to sound like.

Can't wait to see them in Nola. Are they just performing by themselves or is somebody opening for them?
