Been a maple guy for 35 years, starting to like the rosewood though.

I like both. It doesn't really make much of a difference other than looks.

Maple, but I don't hate rosewood.

No real preference, depends on the rest of the guitar wood around it and how they all interact with each other.
Anyone who likes rosewood and ebony, check out something with a pau ferro fingerboard. Kind of a hybrid tonally, looks more like rosewood, feels more like ebony. The Fender SRV strats have PF boards if you're looking for a test-driver.
For least favorite, I'll add in that Richlite composite stuff that Gibson has used on some models in recent years. Just my opinion but contributes nothing good to tone or acoustic properties, feels funky, it's horridly unstable and even lackluster looking. I'll pass.

Pau ferro is a great choice for a fretboard. I really want to build a guitar someday with a wenge neck and Macassar ebony fingerboard.

Sorry man..
I'll give you tree-fiddy for it....
Depending on condition.
Answer to OP. Maple.
Only have 2 acoustics. Both rosewood. But to look at a maple neck and fretboard on an electric? Just looks better.

I like maple on electrics. I always felt like my hands moved better on maple than rosewood. Both have their places to me though.

It's a DV-4.Made in Mexico.
It's the size of a "jumbo".Got a little weight to it.
I gave $900 for it which was probably $200 too much.
I like the feel of it.Mahogany Neck.
I like Guild.
