It sounds like I am going to go with a heater/chiller combo. Obviously, it is more money, but everyone I have spoken to tells me the glacier chiller is nothing but trouble and not nearly as effective.
This is not my experience at all. I'm in south Louisiana. We have a Glacier ch...
but I just remembered that it’s pretty toxic
Gotcha. That rules it out. We have dogs that occasionally chew on plants. Confederate jasmine is an easy one and I may do that. I just feel like it requires so much pruning to keep under control....

I want to put some brick columns along the outside of the pathway and build a trellis/fence in between the columns to create a natural privacy wall for walking around the walkway to the shower. I'm looking for a ...

Thanks ronk. I was hoping you'd respond. Will the roots of the grass under stress die or is it just some kind of protective mechanism/half dormancy? I top dressed with compost/sand early this year and will repeat next year, along with aeration. ...
grey leaf spot
I had an issue with Zoysia patch coming out of the winter and I was able to successfully control that with Torque. I thought this may be a fungus, but it's been so damn dry and the leaves don't have spots - just brown tips in places....
it's 4,796 degrees outside at 6am.
I'm aware. It doesn't seem to affect the entire yard though, and I'm also aware that there are people here that know a lot more about this than I do. So, if there's something I need to be doing to prevent what's happening to the grass, I'm hoping ...

Does this look like heat stress to y’all? This is palisades zoysia. Sodded last October. Was doing fantastic until about 2 weeks ago. The lawn is irrigated and it’s running every 3 days at the moment. [im...

The non-monetary benefit of being comfortable on the second floor of the house outweighs most of that for me. I'm not looking at it strictly from an investment standpoint....

They have run from $7000 to around $9000 without removal of existing insulation. My house has a high pitch roof as well and my upstairs area is about 800sqft living, but it's only 1.5 stories so the attic floor is also the downstairs ceiling in a lot of places. I'm not sure what my attic square foot...
