2 of my favorites are:
Kevin Welch "Til I see You Again."
Steve Earle "Copperhead Road".
Great Country/kind of Rock songs.

ETA: Kevin Welch "Too Old to Die Young."
Forgot this one. I got more into the heavy stuff and then Alice In Chains. etc. Forgot how good this guy is.

Thanks for the thread. Gonna freshen up on Kevin Welch.

I love that time frame of country music.

Pretty much anything from Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt, Alabama, Clint Black. But those are mainstream artists and songs that everyone knows.

The more forgotten ones...

Restless Heart - Fast Movin' Train, and Dancy's Dream

Kathy Mattea - Eighteen Wheels and A Dozen Roses

Earl Thomas Conley - What I'd Say, Love Out Loud, and What She Is (Is A Woman In Love)

Shenandoah - Church on Cumberland Road, Sunday in the South, Mama Knows, Two Dozen Roses, and I Want To Be Loved Like That

John Berry - Your Love Amazes Me

Lee Roy Parnell - On The Road

Mary Chapin Carpenter - Down at the Twist & Shout

Suzy Bogguss - Outbound Plane and Drive South

Time Marches On by Tracy Lawrence has been stuck in my head for days.

Surprised no one said Doug Stone. Why Didn't I Think of That and I'd Be Better Off in a Pine Box are some great ones.

Ain't that the truth. I remember seeing this on a Women of Country Music show on CBS back in the 90s.

Emmylou Harris, Kathy Mattea, Trisha Yearwood, Pam Tillis, Patty Loveless and Suzy Bogguss singing background. Mark O'Connor on guitar. Probably others I am missing.

That was a good album. "Scars" was another hit from that LP.

Just throw in the whole Put Yourself in My Shoes album.

Also Brooks and Dunn, specifically Neon Moon and That ain't no way to go, are great.
