That ticket poster is impressive... Always heard growing up about the The Warehouse in NOLA. Looks like a dump though? How many people did it hold?

It is said to be 3,000 capacity and as Leon Russell sang out
"Whoa... with 3,000 of my closest friends ...and I'm singin' this song... singin' this song...I'm singin this you for yeeou"

The warehouse accountant said that Bob Marley show got cancelled and rebooked fitting in 5,000 people.

Can't stand this cliche. Tons of great current music out there. Just need to be willing to look for it.

Dad took me there to see foghat in 80. I was 5. Still remember the show. Music is a crazy powerful thing.

As I sit here thinking about all the great music I've gotten in just the last six months, I have to laugh out loud at ignorance like you're responding to.

I agree... now more than ever though, you definitely have to wade through more crap being released to get to the good stuff...

if it's the one I'm looking for, I might make you an offer you can't refuse.

sorry, I'm just getting the hang of how to reply to these messages.

I'd love to see a photo of the one you actually have. I can throw an offer your way, and if you ever change your mind, you'll have a buyer. I just need to see a photo of the particular one you have to make an offer.

Sorry, just seeing this. It isn't an original from the 70s. When they did that documentary a few years back on some NOLA TV station... they reproduced these jerseys and sold a limited amount, if memory serves...

Man saw a lot of great shows there!!!!! You have a great website with a lot of History. I was lucky enough to be part of a lot of it and wish I had been 5 years earlier to enjoy what I didn't. Wasn't a documentary done about the Warehouse??

I feel like the percentage of music which is "good" has significantly decreased, but I wasn't around back then, so wha-do-i-know. The fact that good music is so freaking hard to find is very concerning, discouraging, and disconcerting however.

I can probably count on my two hands the number of rock bands currently touring and releasing new music that have released a song I like in the last 5 years. That's bad.

Really? I seem to be listening to music of the past more than anything. Other than a few people here and there, new stuff sucks

Eta: Just the fact that I have to actively spend a large amount of time like yourself and the other poster said confirms my statement

Tonight (it's still 12/12 out west as I post this) marks the 46th anniversary of the Doors' last concert ever...at The Warehouse.

ETA: SIAP but here's a nice video about The Warehouse... LINK

Man I wish I was alive during that time. What I wouldn't give for a night at that place.
