When I was a young teen in the 70's, there was not much in the way of live rock music options on TV. Most programs were recorded music with lip-synching. Then this show came along, albeit very late at night, for which I would have to beg to stay up and watch it. The bands that played this show were more heavy and not so much top 40 acts like the "other" shows. which is why I liked it. The videos are not the best, but still enjoyable. Anybody else remember?

I found that show to not have the hard rockers that Rock Concert had on it or be as raw live performances......but I watched it every time it came on.

I remember both of those shows. Me & my best friend in HS were big music fans and we watched every chance we got.

We were all starving for live rock music around that time. Not to mention there was only 3 TV Stations.

Sometimes not even that many in rural N. La. If we got the rabbit ears just right and the atmosphere cooperated, we could get the Shreveport stations.

I also was in North La. We had 3 TV stations KNOE, KTVE, and the ABC channel in West Monroe. I did have to stick my arm out the window to turn or move the antenna around on its pole. I did watch Don Kirshner's Rock Concerts too, loved them.

We had an early version of cable. Somebody put rabbit ears on the radio station tower, and we got TV from Monroe, Shreveport, and Alexandria. Not that it mattered, because they all had the exact same programming. Then TBS came along, and nothing was ever the same again...

Damn that UFO video is great. I didn't realize they ever played Rock Concert. Was that the only song they did?

Watched all of them, but "In Concert" on Friday nights was my favorite.
