That's odd that you have Obscured By Clouds, but don't have Wish You Were Here or Meddle.

As with Rush, I love the singles. I don't really care for the long pieces and for the life of me, I can't understand the love for Animals.

To each their own, Animals is my favorite album. I think that is Gilmours finest hour and that is saying a ton.

My theory: It sounds kind of fresh because it's the only one of their albums that doesn't feature a song that has been played to death by classic rock radio.
Plus, Pigs on the Wing is a great tune.

That's one of the only ones I can listen too consistently. DSOTM is radically overrated.

I'm not going to downvote you in reality because musical taste is subjective, but I just want you to know that in my mind I'm doing it as hard as I can.

It was more of coming across those cheaper.

Like my most recent purchase of theirs was a saucerful of secrets, $14 new.

I cant stand paying full price anymore, yeah i was doing that at first then realized there are plenty of places to look and cross reference prices to see if youve got the cheapest one.

The momentary lapse i have is the 45rpm remix. But it was $21 on the pink floyd site when i got it.

Oh shite its $15 rt now on their shop.

Pink Floyd

So basically i just buy whats cheap, i didnt go in any sort of order. So if i didnt have that one, id be buying it rt now. But yeah, next time i catch the others on sale i will buy.

Oh shite the pulse bluray box set is only $20. hmm i may grab that. the reviews seem alright, does anyone have that one? Hows the video?

There was a pretty big thread on the redo recently and I was surprised how many people thought it was overrated, at least somewhat.

I love Animals, but DSOTM is the most spiritual of their albums.

I still find new things when I listen to it.

Yeah i listened to the live wembley one at work the other day.

Reason i was thinking about the pulse bluray is because it shows it has the full dsotm on it.

quote:

DISC 1 THE CONCERT FILM
SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMOND, PARTS 1-5,7
LEARNING TO FLY
HIGH HOPES
TAKE IT BACK
COMING BACK TO LIFE
SORROW
KEEP TALKING
ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL, PART 2
ONE OF THESE DAYS
THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON
SPEAK TO ME
BREATHE (IN THE AIR)
ON THE RUN
TIME
THE GREAT GIG IN THE SKY
MONEY
US AND THEM
ANY COLOUR YOU LIKE
BRAIN DAMAGE
ECLIPSE

yeah i know, youtube, but the absolute worst is listening to floyd and a fricking ad comes on in the middle and ruins the experience.

Nope, not my kind of music. You do understand that art is a personal preference right? PF is just too slow.

I have a serious question: for how many of yall in here does this involve LSD or whatever? I haven't really done that whole thing with PF.

For me, no. I think it would be too intense.

I just smoke weed. I listen to other rock and rap so it’s not just them. I just like all of their stuff. I can’t say the same for all the bands I like.

I do think Gilmour is up there with guitar players. Some of the best guitar solos.

I realize this will fly in the face of the hive mind, but Disintegration is a far superior album.
