Did anyone here catch the BH Surfers live in the 80s?

I just read the chapter about them in Our Band Could Be Your Life and their shows seemed batshit crazy.

-2 stand up drummers
-stolen strobe lights
-projection films of car accidents and surgical procedures being played in reverse
-flaming cymbals
-naked dancers
-all kinds of bodily fluids

I know this band isn't a favorite on this site but I was just wondering if anyone had any stories.

ETA: guess that's a no

Yes. Pretty famous 80s punk band along with Suicidle Tendencies. They were good in small doses but not something I listened to frequently.

The show here at Jacy's was pretty legendary. Cops showed up and harassed everybody and shut the show down early. It was one of the most insane things I've ever seen or heard.

Well they did have a live album called the PCPPEP, although I don't think he played on it. The book also says they were notorious for taking shitloads of acid all the time.

Not the 80's but I saw them in 94. They had a large movie screen that played animals being slaughtered the entire show. Several people were physically sick.

I saw them early 90's with Stone Temple Pilots. I went to see STM. The thing I will never forget about the BHS show was right towards the end when they went into some sort of hypnotic chant with pulsating music. I felt myself going into some sort of weird trance (of course I was high) when the music stopped abruptly. It was silent in the place for a few seconds and the singer yelled out "Got Ya"!!! It was borderline satanic.

I saw them in 91 or 92. I don't really remember the show though, I was pretty drunk.

One of my all time favorite bands. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see them until near the end of their touring for Electric Larryland at the Varsity. Cibo Matto opened. Was a great show, but it included none of the insanity or their earlier gigs. It was a straight ahead rock show, that's all.

After listening to Locust Abortion Technician and Hairway to Steven, they're quickly climbing the ladder for me.

The O-Men might be the most intense 3 minutes of music I've ever heard.
