Ryman

Whoever wrote this seemed to pick based on their own transcendent experiences...or something. I've been to a lot of these and agree on most, but The End is a small, concrete sh#tbox less than two miles from The Ryman, one of the finest venues in the country, much less Nashville.

for sound and sightlines i think hob may be better, that being said, i'd much rather see a show at tips. WAY better vibe and history

9:30 ...cannot even count how many concerts I have seen there...from Willie Nelson to Public Enemy

And Irving Plaza and Bowery in NYC are great places...and throw in Electric Factory in Philly where I saw Tom Petty...

Also, spent many a night at the Metro in Chicago while in Grad school...

Norva in Norfolk...got a DIP there after a Billy Idol concert

i was hoping one of my favorite bay area venues was gonna be on the list, yoshis in oakland. cool little room to see jazz in, and the sushi is amazing.

Been to Toad's Place, Jones Beach (3x), Stubbs BBQ, HOB, Roseland Ballroom, Radio City, Beacon (x8 or 9)

Jones Beach, Beacon and HOB are my favorite of the one's I've attended.

Toads is cool, but it wasn't really anything special to me. Dylan played there quite a bit early in his career I think.

I think we're on the same page.

Good sight lines, decent sound, good vibe = good shows

Great sight lines, killer sound, bad vibe = not so good show

Is Blossom on the list? If not, it should be. It's the best shed in the country.

This is just one writer's opinion. My list starts here:

I really miss Independence Hall and The Kingfish though.

Red Rocks is incredible, I'd have to put that a little higher. Unbelievable sight, and it's just a great time there. The Gorge, although I have yet to visit, should also be higher.

HoB is a really good venue, but I agree that Tips is better. The overall experience is truer to New Orleans.

The only thing that could make the 930 club better for me is if I banged a girl during a show.

And so I'm gonna bang a girl during a show, by God. And I'm gonna do it in the year 2013.

I like merriweather and spac when it comes to sheds. They are unique.

Eta: the gorge, shoreline and the 2 greek theaters are awesome too.
