91.1 plays great music depending on what show it is.
97.7 is great but gets a little repetitive
96.9 is good as well.
90.3 is what I listened to the most
103.3 (I think that's the number) is decent too.

So really, kingbob just sucks

it really is terrible and totally inexcusable how they dont have a full-time new orleans music station

but hey i guess they have 15 pop country stations to make up for it

I always end up with some weird indie-pop techno shite or gangsta rap whenever I try KLSU.

Agreed. The fact that they're the only station broadcasting music in the radio has caused me to have "Brandy, you're a fine girl.." stuck in my head at work more times than I'd care to admit.

I listen to it a lot, but I don't care for its talk shows it carries like 3rd Place, Democracy Now, the Louisiana environmentalist show, and the movie talk show. Also, the signal is really weak and fades in and out a lot. When they're playing music (outside the tuesday night gangsta rap show), they're my favorite station. I just wish the signal was stronger and that they had something on their website with a playlist of the songs they play. Too often I hear a great track and have no idea what it was or who it was by.

Never tried it. What's on this station?

I listen to this station a lot as well, but the Bob and Tom show is atrocious in the morning.

Bob: let me say, hahahaha, let me say
Tom: what are you gonna say Bob?
Bob: I was, hahaha, going to say, hahaha
Tom: Are you going to talk about :goofy laugh:
Bob: hahaha, no, hahaha, I was just going to, hahaha

"And we'll be back with more of the Bob and Tom show..."

How much is that running these days and why does the sound quality sound like I'm playing a bad MP3 through my 2002 model Dell desktop's stock speakers?

If you've gotta Delorean that can go 88mph, I'd suggest KLSU in the nineties. It's a great listen.

KLSU was still great up until about 2-3 years ago. Now it's either some stupid journalism major running their mouth or terrible, top-40 sounding horeshit.

To the OP, Spotify and/or Pandora.

Seems like a lot of cell phone data. Worth it?

Pretty much. My car has no auxilery port, no bluetooth, no AM radio even. It just has an FM radio and a CD player that is notorious for eating and scratching CDs. I may just say f&%k it and finally get a new radio.

This must have been pretty bad if you can still remember it 13 years later. I don't have any complaints about Sirius. It costs what it costs.

Has for a long time.

An iPod connected to one of the USB ports in the car. I also have a book of CDs as backup and Sirius XM for emergency backup (but so far haven't had to resort to that).

My CDs.

Everybody laughs when they see my CD collection until it's time to sit in a car for an extended period of time and you are consequently subjected to Baton Rouge radio.
