Yes. That show was epic. Rage Against the Machine certainly was the most energetic crowd I've ever been in.

I agree. Nothing else I've seen can really hold a candle.

The best concert I have ever been to was Lynyrd Skynyrd and Hank Williams Jr at Joe Davis Stadium in Huntsville, AL in 1995.

The price barricades were torn down at some point and by the time Skynyrd played we had made our way to about 20 meters in front of the stage.

About the third song in, Van Zant calls Hank back up on stage, which he must never do, because it took like 10 minutes. When Hank finally arrives he is clearly drunk (and uninterested in doing this) and literally dragging his guitar by the bridge along the ground. This was like an hour after his set had ended.

There were about 10 of us in the group, we all had like 5 fatties rolled up in our pockets. When Ooh That Smell fired up, all of south Huntsville got a contact high.

Later at a gas station, me and a buddy start talking to these girls and one of them remembered seeing me there ( ). We show up to the post concert party with a carload full of girls and I wound up tapping her that night (which never happened to me BTW).

Awesome night. Could be a movie.

So, getting laid later that night made it the best concert ever? Damn, son. Find an ugly chick with a nice body and change your world.

Fugazi at the Wilson Center.

There is no second place. Except maybe a different Fugazi show. Well, except for this time I saw Man Man at the Loft and thought the floor was gonna cave in.

Which reminds me of one that I can't believe I forgot:

Dub Trio opening for Gogol Bordello at Tipitinas. I was on the rail of the balcony and you could feel the floor flexing from everyone jumping around.

Tom Petty was incredible when I saw him. Black Crows opened for him too.

Honestly, Fleetwood Mac was mindblowing fr me at Jazz Fest.

Gov't Mule NYE at Beacon in 2004>2005

ABB at beacon a number of times, like 6 or 7

Phil Lesh and friends

The Dead, Warren Haynes played with them. During the set break Haynes came out and played accoustic by himself: Soulshine

I can go on, but I won't.

Sleigh Bells at Varsity was

Roger Waters The Wall at the new Yankee Stadium was stellar.

The Sword (3x)
Eyehategod (multiple times at Siberia)

Clash of the Titans Tour (Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax)

Earliest live show I remember is sneaking into Zeppelins in Fat City to see Crowbar.

Actual first concert I went to? My parents took my sister and I to the Styx Mr. Roboto tour at the MS Coast Coliseum when the babysitter cancelled last minute. I was like 5 or 6.

I think I may know you. Did you go to Jesuit, by chance?

No, that made it agreat night. Skynyrd rocking out for over two hours, pulling a "frick Neal Young" sign out of the crowd and displaying it on stage, and the epic 15 minute encore of Freebird made it a great concert.
