REM was tops in my book..Fables of the Reconstruction is one of my favorites..then I saw what a simpering whiney baby Stipe turned out to be and it pretty much turned me off forever.

Same with the Smiths..thought 'meat is murder' was the shite..then morrisey and his constant bitching about EVERYTHING ruined that.

More recently i was digging the Pink Martini..thought they had a great retro 60s lounge sound..then saw them in concert and it was a bunch of pompous musicians who thought their music was blessed by God.

I have to ignore all that or I would listen to no music and see very few movies.

Have never had that happen as far as I remember.

Unless they are like child molesteors or terrorists, I can't see it affecting my enjoyment of the music. I certainly don't care if their politics match up with mine.

You'd be surprised how many people aren't affected by this

Counting Crows was tops in my book..August and Everything After is one of my favorites..then I saw what a simpering whiney baby Duritz turned out to be and it pretty much turned me off forever.

Same with U2..thought 'Boy' was the shite..then Bono and his constant bitching about EVERYTHING ruined that.

I really loved the Flaming Lips, though my love had already started waning due to several weak offerings as of late. Wayne Coyne has become such a drama whore douchebag suffering from an extreme midlife crisis, that I can't really dig them any longer. I'm glad I saw them in concert prior to this change.

Oasis. I used to be obsessed with them, and I still love their early work, but god damn.... Liam Gallagher makes me prefer Blur.

I like and continue to listen to my Pearl Jam catalog -- I just wince up and try ignore some of the stuff Vedder spews from time-to-time.
