I'm not talking about abominations like the Little River Band or Blackfoot. I mean bands who still have key members in the lineup. Doesn't necessarily have to be a heritage band, it could be a new-ish band too.

I'd probably go with the Stones. Still listen to them regularly, and I'm sure I'd be entertained if I got invited to see them...but as a ticket buyer, I haven't been motivated enough to pull the trigger in years...

Agree about Queen, and there's no one who could replace Freddie. However, if they were able to coerce John Deacon into returning for a tour, that might tip the scales for me...

Morrissey/The Smiths.

I love the music, but Morrissey's antics and habits of cancelling shows made me lose interest in seeing them live.

They put on a hell of a show at the Saenger. I'd argue that they sound as good as ever, aside from Stephen Still's voice being pure crap.

Same. I've passed on them twice in New Orleans in the last two years.

Seeing Cocteau twins live just about ruined that band for me.

This. Or any band that can't come close to replicating the sounds of their recordings.

His voice in recordings can't possibly hold up over a 2 hour set. And the effects driven guitars.

U2 also. I just don't think he has the pipes anymore. Certainly not to fill a large hall or stadium. Jazz Fest had the Allman Brothers a few years back. They were playing Sweet Melissa so we stopped. The guys voice?? Father Time is an arse. He was warbling. Which was terrible in an open air venue and that large.

Any band that can't or won't scale things back to match the artist that time has turned them into.

Deep Purple - I have no interest in seeing them live at this point. On the other hand, I would love to see the recent version of Rainbow based on what is available on YouTube.

Van Morrison sounds horrible now. Probably wouldn't go to see Metallica auto-tuned either

Pinback. They're supposedly no longer making music, but you never know if Rob Crow will get the itch again. Their albums are great, but there's just no real energy when I've seen them live.

Red Hot Chili Peppers

I still love the band, but ever since Frusciante left I'm no longer interested in their new music or live shows.

Tool...unless they release a LOT more new material. They've made us wait too long.
