I actually got the EL that was the one suggested for my setup. I love it over the next year I'll probably upgrade to that vpi prime scout and then kinda get some suggestions What I'll need to do next.

Cassette Tape,
Really?

Yep. Sounds decent, although it is being played back on a Nakamichi CR-7A deck, which is about as good as it gets for cassette playback.
Sonically, it's no LP or even CD, but neat to play around with. Every once in a while I will purchase a new recording on this medium from the very slim offerings, just because.

I have a Unison Unico that can switch between MM and MC, so I am using the MC setting. If your equipment is equipped for MM only, then you would require an MC phono stage to use an MC cart. I've heard good things about the Rega Fono MC.

I have a ton of cassettes. The right deck can make a cassette sound very good, in an analog way, as long as the tape has not deteriorated.

Mine has gain settings for both MM and MC. My current preamp is a Schiit Mani. I have in my inventory only one MC (Denon DL-110) and it is a HOMC.

How do you like the Schiit? I used a modi dac for a while and enjoyed it.

Nothing to compare it to, but that being said, I think it is great, especially for $129, and it gives me a great deal of flexibility on cartridge choice as well.

So I got the green light to upgrade my turntable if I wanted to spend 1500-2k What should I look for and would my Hana cart be good to stick with for a while?
Oracle...it's a heavy, well built table, and Oracle has been building them for 40 years.

Awesome thank you Marco you like that option more than prime scout?
I definitely noticed the difference of the heavier tables and mine doesn't have 4 feet so it can tip over easier. Thanks for the heads up my friend. Keep me posted when those albums are up for pre order I've been trying to keep an eye on music direct, I want the Texas flood album
