Appreciate it. Yeah I figure I'm going to have to be pretty creative for this one.

Are you a hipster?

They are called records, not vinyls.

I saw a record (not vinyl) set up posted in this thread somewhere with a tall, narrow glass shelf maybe from Ikea that would work. I know, I get real defensive about the word hipster living in Portland being from Baton Rouge

Looks like I'll be sending the Nomad back to Overture in Delaware. I have to call him back tomorrow. Hopefully, they send me a shipping label. Don't even want to know what it's gonna cost to shop an 18lb box. Insured more than likely.....

They said they would look at it and see if they can take care of it, but if not they may have to send to VPI.

That being said.... I turned that sum bitch on today and it made the sound, turned it off and then back on again.... didn't make the sound anymore. Sounds like a bearing issue or something.

Make sure you package it the same way it came...take the platter off and secure the tonearm.

Yeh, I kept everything it came with. Although, the platter was on the table when I got it. It was not separate.

Does the platter just come off?

The platter should just lift right off for most turntables. Some take a bit of effort. I'd check your owner's manual if it won't come off easily.

VPI uses inverted bearings.

Marco.... Would you send it back even the noise hasn't occurred again the last couple of times I've tried?

Let it run nonstop for a couple days. Also, lube the bearing. If you don't know how, call me.

Oh! What type of oil?

I will say this I just took the platter off. Turned the motor and it feels pretty rough. Either bearings are going out or they need to be greased.

just drop a few drops in the spindle hole?

Do you have white grease?

Is the motor itself "cogging"?

No white grease at the house.

When I turn the spindle, I can feel the rubbing.

Edit: check that I have some white grease. Do I have to take the spindle off or just go down the spindle hole?

What are y'all using to clean records? I'm using record doctor v with turgikleen, wondering what other good options are.

Bill Evans "Another Time", 2017 Record Store Day, limited to 6,000 copies.
The mastering and pressing is very nice on this live performance. Sounds like you're in the front row!
