Living Color - Cult of Personality

I know their name gives it away, but if you didn't know the band name and just heard the song. You know the rest.

These white boy retro soul acts like Mayer Hawthorne ( I thought this was Sam and Dave or something) and St. Paul confused me for a bit.

Yeah the lead singer of St. Paul and the Broken Bones does not sound like a chubby white guy.

Saw them live once. it took a little bit to realize that it the bass wasn't singing.

First time I heard Diana Krall sing "Peel Me a Grape" I thought she was a 50-something black woman from maybe Mississippi or Detroit. Turns out she was a 30-something white woman from Vancouver.

My entire life I thought the song "I Can't Tell You Why" (Eagles) was sung by a woman until I saw the Eagles live in 2014(?) at the age of 45 and it was sung by one Timothy B Schmitt.

I'm still not convinced that's a guy singing for Air Supply.
