I'm somewhat new to Spotify and one of the most frustrating things is losing my spot in the album that i'm listening to. I'm currently listening to the Phish Hampton/Winston-Salem '97 collection and if I take a few days off, i have no idea where I left off. Anyone know if i'm not doing something right of is this how it is?

Mine only does that on mobile, and no idea how to "fix" it. It saves my spot on my work PC, unless I shut it down or reboot it.

I don't think there is a way to view the last played song within the mobile app, and probably not on the desktop one either. If you look under the "Your Music" section, it does show recently played, but for me, I can only see the artist and album, not individual songs.

One thing you could do is go into settings and then social, select publish to facebook. Go on facebook and view your activity log and you can look and you can see your play history for spotify.

Pretty stupid workaround. Seems like it should be easier.

What you could do, which is what I do in large playlists I'm going through, is "Star" the track you ended with so when you go back you can find it easier.

Careful with this option. When I first got Spotify I didn't realize the default was to publish what you listened to on Facebook. Well, one day I was listening to David Cross stand up, and the name of one of the tracks was "The Pope Shaves His Pussy." My Catholic mother was not that impressed.

On spotify mobile (free) can you only listen to albums in shuffle mode?

I think I can block it from posting for everyone to see and just make it private so only I can see. I'm going to look into this to see if that's possible.

On desktop you can highlight the whole album and drag it over to the play queue. The play queue also has a history tab at the top where you can see the most recent songs you played.
