Legitimately good. Don't consider that one a guilty pleasure.

I'm gonna go with Stay by Oingo Boingo.

Lots of these are legit!! As for real guilty pleasures...

Strokin' by Clarence Carter, 1985.

Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley, 1987

Double Dutch Bus by Frankie Smith, 1981

Come On Eileen by Dexy's Midnight Runners, 1983

867-5309 by Tommy TuTone, 1982

No Parking On The Dance Floor by Midnight Star, 1985

Da Butt by E.U., 1988

Don't Worry, Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin, 1988

Keep Your Hands To Yourself by The Georgia Satellites, 1987

I had to check dates to make sure they were all in the 80s! Sadly, The Pina Colada Song wasn't.

I don't want to live in a world where REO Speedwagon is a guilty pleasure.

Another one of mine - Dionne Warwick - Heartbreaker

I think I once read the Bee Gees wrote that song. I do know they wrote Islands In the Stream.

OMG! Haven't heard that in years! I think I have a playlist in my iTunes with some of them, UTFO, Sugar Hill Gang, Tom Tom Club, George Clinton... Atomic Dog was a classic!

Gotta go find that playlist...

Police - King of Pain

Toto-Rosanna

1. The opening beat is so iconic, it is known to percussionists as "The Rosanna Shuffle"

2. Yes, that is Patrick Swayze.

3. No, it's NOT about Rosanna Arquette.

Lots of great songs mentioned so far.

"Stay by Oingo Boingo"

Great song! "Just Another Day" is another really good song of theirs.

Not all guilty pleasure (some are) but some more good overlooked songs:

A Ha - Sun Always Shines on TV
The Other Ones - Another Holiday
Toto - Pamela
Thompson Twins - Lay Your Hands
Tears for Fears - Pale Shelter
