200mil in the vault of a Vegas strip casino seems low, right?

Not that I counted anything but in the late 80's and early 90's when I went into vaults there isn't this much there. It is a liability in the long run. Casino security isn't armed for various reasons so the protection is completely on the vault. Funny story, downtown casinos stopped letting guards carry due to my brother's father getting in a shoot out with is .45

We watched it last night and it was pretty bad. The character development was forced and came at really odd times. At some point, all the characters become capable of head-shotting every zombie, then suddenly, they can't.

The acting was bad. Tig Nautaro was particularly terrible.

She was completely awful. Not one funny line. Plus, I could tell something was off in all her scenes. The work they did cutting her into the movie instead of D'Elia was distracting.

Glad I’m not the only one who noticed her getting CTL pasted into the movie

Her intro scene was so damn bad on so many levels.

ETA sad thing is she was still probably an improvement over Deilia

Just finished, this was a pretty bad movie. Somehow Snyder made this extremely boring outside of the opening sequence. Really should have been about 45 minutes shorter.

Also, Snyder is a frustratingly bad storyteller. I find it frustrating because he's a great director from a visual standpoint, but he just can't rein himself in and will throw random shite into a movie with zero thought into how it fits into the story that he's telling or the world that he's built.

Some interviews with him have been run this weekend and the quotes are ridiculous. Apparently that WAS the exact team from the movie dead in front of the vault, and there was a time loop, just because he thought it'd be fun. Even though it makes zero sense. He also confirmed that those were actually robot zombies with zero explanation.

quote:

In the corridor just outside, there are several decomposed corpses – thought to be a failed team that Tanaka had sent in before them – but Vanderohe points out that they look strangely similar to themselves, right down to what they’re wearing.

He muses that perhaps it is, in fact, them and that they are trapped in a never-ending cycle of violence and death; director Zack Snyder shed some light on that idea in an interview with RadioTimes.com and other press.

He said: “Those kinds of things, I think, are a fun and very in-world kind of concept. And the funny thing about it is that the zombies that we put down there, those hero dead zombies, that is them, right? They’re really the same, they’re wearing the same clothes.

“When I was with the costume designer, she was like, ‘Oh, so we’ll just put some zombies on the ground’. I’m like, ‘No, it’s them.’ And she goes, ‘how is it them?’ And I go, ‘I don’t know, how is it them? You tell me’. That’s always fun.”

Oh wow sounds like he threw everything against the wall to see what stuck

The zombie baby plot was another weird aspect of the movie that didn’t really lead anywhere

I enjoyed it, but the most head scratching thing for me was Kate's dumbass plan to find Geeta.

The nuke is coming in hot in 10 minutes and she leaves the casino with the helicopter on the roof for another one 5 minutes away. What the frick was she gonna do? The nuke is coming and they have no way out.

fricking stupid.

1.) After the opening scene I was hoping that was a sign to come and we would get more big tits. What a let down.

2.) When they recruited the helicopter pilot and she immediately joined, no questions asked, I immediately thought of the Rick & Morty heist episode. "You son of a bitch, I'm in!"

3.) It did feel a little long, but it was a fun slick to just suspend disbelief and lose a few hours to. The visuals were good enough quality and the audio was good as well. Not sure I'd pay 50 or 60 bucks to go see it in the theater, but it was perfect for the big screen in my basement at night.

I don’t understand all the love this is getting from critics. Movie was straight garbage. Should have been a fun zombie movie and instead it was some over complicated mess with crap characters

It has a 57 on Metacritic, with the majority of the reviews in that 4-6/10 and C- - C+ range.

I enjoyed it. Wasn't expecting a masterpiece. My expectations were where they needed to be and it was a fun watch.

I wasn't aware of that, but it makes sense. It always felt like she was just reading lines and not interacting with the other actors.

To be fair, I thought it was just a fun zombie movie. People expect too much.

Terrible terrible movie.

Half of the characters make decisions that make absolutely no sense. The daughter goes through all of that shite to save Geeta and doesn't even check to see if she's alive after they crashed at the end. Too many people died. Nobody got rich. It felt like an empty ending. Dude walks through a nuclear bast site and doesn't show symptoms of being bitten or, you know, radiation issues until they get to Mexico City. There's like a million issues like that in the movie.

Such a fun movie. Literally anything Snyder touches with zombies is a blast. Making them an actual army that took out an actual convoy to start off. I loved that. Also having them quarantined in Vegas surprising and slick. Also loved the alpha's and tiger ha

Between this and Dawn of the Dead damn I'd wanna see his Day of the dead remake. Guess it's been a while since I saw a good Zombie movie. But Dawn of the dead was a masterpiece atm it came out jmo as a young boy who saw day of otw way from school. Skipped 2 periods. Not surprisingly. Needed some chic fil a before. Had a half a blunt made it a fun arse day

I remember another zombie flick with asian guy and girl. Trapped across the street in different apartment high rises. Very different. Awesome movie tho

I'd love to watch the special version that you got to watch, because that sounds nothing like what the rest of us watched

I went in with a nice buzz last night and going in with not much expectations. Made it better I imagine. Just a really fun movie to me

The folks at RT didn't seem to hate it but I like to make my own opinion. It could be 40 or 50% and I enjoy the hell out of a movie they bomb. Happens sometimes. Dont go into a Netflix movie with too high expectations.

I'm seriously curious from the premise I read. They kinda did it and well idk I thought so. What yall expect from it?

Some people on on here seem to have a hard time just enjoying movies for what they are.

The movie is biggest problem is that it doesn’t know what it wants to be.

Just because a movie has a certain outrageous premise, doesn’t make it Teflon from criticism
