So Vulture.com came out with a ranking yesterday of all 169 Seinfeld episodes. It's a truly awful ranking IMO.

Vulture's Seinfeld Episode Rankings

It's an impossible task. So what about your top 10 episodes? Here's mine with Vulture's ranking:

1. The Junior Mint (ranked 129)
2. The Switch (ranked 118)
3. The Strike (ranked 127)
4. The Marine Biologist (ranked 61)
5. The Chicken Roaster (ranked 57)
6. The Andrea Doria (ranked 100)
7. The Serenity Now (ranked 77)
8. The Cheever Letters (ranked 98)
9. The Little Jerry (ranked 74)
10. The Soup Nazi (ranked 143)

No argument with their top six. It starts going off track after that.

Take all episodes from roughly season 4 through the end of 9.

Throw in a hat.

Draw 10 names.

Would be an acceptable list.

btw since we're talking about seinfeld...obviously there's a group of kramer's friends that he references that we've never seen. Well I'll be damned, I was watching an episode last night and his friend Corky Ramirez gets some screen time. It's when they're at the bar celebtrating Kramer's financial upturn from Peterman buying his life stories (van b boys ep).

Now if only we could catch a glimpse of Jay Reminschneider and Bob Saccomano..

Id take off these two and add The English Patient and The Contest.

I really don't see how any best of list can leave off The Contest.

I'm a little parital to The Nap, just because I've always wanted to build a bed under my desk.

Their list appears to be written by the guy who wrote that awful open letter to Jerry about how to do comedy on college campuses.

There's just so many. I'll separate the first four, since they're easily at the top of my list. 6 through 40 or 50 could be interchangeable, but these really jump out at me.

The Slicer
The Junior Mint
The Marble Rye
The Marine Biologist

The Strike (Festivus)
The Subway (Kramer and the OTB)
The Merv Griffin Show
The Raincoats (Cadillac)
The Conversion (Kavorka)
The Van Buren Boys

That was Michael Richards' best performance of the entire series.

Merv Griffin show is always very high or #1.

It highlighted the brilliance and importance of Kramer to the show as well.

See, this is why it is so hard to make a top 10 for me. I forgot about this one and it is greatness.

They had so much going in that episode
And so many great scenes and lines:

'I hope prune juice is ok?' 'It's a coffee table book about coffee tables.' 'Well you can't just give something and then take it back, that would make you a.....' 'Yeah I made reserva...I planned for reasonable accommodations'... 'Hi Elaine, I made this for you...' 'Who just walks into a house, and takes a TV Guide?' ....
