Robert Duvall & Tommy Lee Jones - Gus & Call in Lonesome Dove

Heath Ledger - The Dark Knight

Daniel Day-Lewis - Pretty much anything he has been in w/ Gangs of NY & There Will Be Blood my favorites

Al Pacino - The Godfather I & II (I actually like his performance in III, I just think the movie was a huge disappointment.)

Brando in a Street Car Named Desire. Hell, the man's been dead for a couple of years, but I could still feel the animalistic power coming through the tv.

Usually hard for me to narrow down my list, but for this question, these two (film/tv) stand out to me and make it easy:

Robert Duvall - Sonny in The Apostle

James Spader - Alan Shore in The Practice/Boston Legal

So many great suggestions on there that I don't want to rehash any of them. But one omission I saw was:

Dwight Yoakam as Doyle Harvgrave in Sling Blade. I laugh my arse off every time I see the scene where he has his band over.
