Your best guess as to when the 25th Bond movie comes out?

Some have it as late as 2018. Some are saying Craig and Broccoli do not want to make a new one. Both have projects in the works currently. I think that November 2018 would be the release, as 3 years between films is about right. Who will be the new Bond if Craig is really insistent on not returning?

It'll be a while. They've taken the franchise in such a divergent direction with Spectre, it will be very difficult to scale it back.

I thought Craig was officially done with it?

If Craig is done with it then there is no way they can continue this tedious psychoanalytical approach to Bond that keeps trying to flesh out his backstory. I wouldn't be surprised at all if that was Waltz's only appearance.

Wasn't Craig quoted as saying something along the lines of; "I'd rather slit my wrists then play bond again"

Something like that haha.

We went about 4 years between Die Another Day and Casino Royale when they switched Bonds. It was 6 between License to Kill and Goldeneye.

I think he has only done 4 of the 5 he is under contract for. I have read where he said he does not want to continue, but I have seen where he will fulfill the contract. I think Barbara Broccoli is the key, as she is doing some other projects, so Bond will be on back burner until they are finished.

Craig is done and Elba is busy with The Dark Tower right now so they're gonna have to wait until he's finished with that.

If I were a betting man...Tom Hiddleston.

Michael Fassbender would make an amazing bond.

I remember reading a fan fiction Bond I liked. But it needs an old Bond for it to work.

Movie starts with James Bond dying.

Then cuts to a MI6 training facility where recruits are trying to become agents. The top agent is taken in, has his name and infor wiped and then HE becomes the new James Bond.

The problem is, it's too Jason Bourne to do that now.

The whole treatment was pretty good. Explained why Bond gets recast so much.

I read somewhere just the other day that they are grooming Kit Harington to take over the Bond franchise.

After watching The Night Manager, I am 100% on board with Hiddleston as the next Bond. He would nail it.

Still don't know the direction they would take. It would be really hard for a new actor to continue Craig's storyline but they've invested 4 movies building this new Bond universe. Would also really suck if we wasted Blofeld/SPECTRE on one movie.

Either way, get back to the basics of Bond and quit trying to make every movie some kind of backstory.
