I can tell from the downvotes on my garbage comment that we have some fanboys here, so let me explain.

This looks like a cgi mess with and actress that can't act. She will be playing a superhero that is pretty lame, and it's brought to you by the people that made B vs S.

That said, it will make a shitload of money simply because of the fanboys that will line up to see it.

You seem pretty hot to convince everyone the movie is going to be bad...if I think a movie is going to suck I pretty much ignore it and don't make multiple posts campaigning against it- especially if I haven't seen it. If it sucks, so be it...but everything looks great so far- and nothing you say will change that as I'll decide for myself.

And there are fanboys here...mostly of the Marvel kind. I happen to be an adult and can like and appreciate both. But continue on...maybe you can talk someone out of seeing it!! You get em girl!

And in the age of #fakenews, who knows if the story was even true?

Yeah he's doing it all wrong. If you want to troll the DC apologists, you need to embrace the downvotes

Nope. It just blows my mind that people that watched the DC movies can watch that trailer and think this one is going to be better.

I really wish the comic stuff would just die off for a while. A few of them are good, but the majority suck. I think the less is more approach to the comic book movies would help make them worth watching. This won't happen though because they make so much money.

I didn't care for the Twilight/Hunger Games type movies so you know what I did?

I didn't watch them. I also didn't read articles about them nor did I participate in threads about them. I didn't have to try not to. It just came natural from my disinterest in the genre.

Am I some kind of amazing super human or is that pretty easy for anyone else to do too?

You're more than welcome to post whatever you want bud. You just seem to be upset about this movie which seems really unnecessary.

This was also the case with BvS.
quote:

No, it was not. The film did not screen for critics until the week before release. Reaction was most decidedly mixed.

In the weeks and months prior to release, most of the tweets describing the quality of the film was second hand information.

It resembles the BvS experience in that any positive pre-reviews will be dismissed as studio-influenced-hype.

The truth is, the embargoed tweets have become pretty meaningless, especially after the studios have clamped down on critics dissing movies while embargoed. The lonely negative tweeter who didn't like Guardians of the Galaxy II had to apologize for "saying too much" so that he'd get back into the good graces of Disney.

But honestly, if it was a "borderline mess", we'd have heard the warnings that we'd heard about Suicide Squad and BvS.

I'm not upset. I am fascinated. This board is usually pretty rational when it comes to movies. It's one of the better movie boards that I have found. For some reason though it becomes highly irrational when it comes to comic book movies. It's like everyone's usual good taste in movies falls by the wayside and everyone runs out and buys Wonder Woman pajamas.

That happens everywhere though. There's a huge fanboyism with these films. It's really dumb.

Have you read the other DC film threads? The overwhelming majority of posters disliked both BvS and Suicide Squad. The board has been pretty cautious about the Wonder Woman movie as well.

WTF are you talking about? Some early critics said it's good and you interpret that to mean "everyone says this one is going to be great"? If that's what you really think, you haven't been paying attention.
