This movie met all expectations I had. The pace, dialogue, and acting are consistent with Sicario and Hell or High Water. The music set a haunting, intense tone perfectly throughout (like Sicario), and Renner is more than convincing as a gunslinger out for revenge. The story is flawless and you feel the pain of the characters. I am having trouble finding an issue with this one; it is worth a trip to the theatres.

The direction and pacing were a bit clunky .. but to be expected for a first time director .. I liked the film and it was good but certainly not great

I did think some of the camera work was shaky but I gave that a pass because it is hard filming in wintry conditions.

I work in film production and cannot imagine what a pain it was to shoot it which I believe led to a hurried pace and uneven feel... hell or high water was my favorite last year so I'm the target audience

Same here. You can tell it had some similar elements to HOHW and Sicario. I loved both of those.

The nick cave / Ellis score really helped and whomever handled the animal work was top notch as well

Yep the score was the right amount of haunting and accentuated the Wyoming winter. Sheridan likes his tough, female FBI characters huh? Plus we got to see her arse, so that helps. It was a funny joke that Indian lady made about her thong...which, I thought I recognized that lady..she was the Sioux woman married to Kicking Bird (Graham Greene) in Dances With Wolves.

don't think it's flawless but it's a very, very good film ... ending was a bit too 'out of nowhere', but entirely believable ...

I thought the ending was very well done. Yea "flawless" may be a stretch, as nothing is perfect, but that is my kind of movie in every way.

It is damn good, and the acting is on point. I didn't realize the female lead was a younger sister to the Olsen twins. She did a really good job.

Finally got to see it today. Definitely near the top of this list for 2017 (not that that's saying very much )

Saw it last night and while I liked it and thought it was good, flawless is quite a stretch. I much preferred Sicario. The scene where the show the SUV's entering Juarez was one of the most tense and suspenseful scenes I've ever seen.

Wind River did not have a scene like that for me. I think Renner and Olsen gave excellent performances, but the villian was almost cartoonish at the end.
I also wish they had explained the dynamics of law enforcement issues on the reservation. I had to Google after the movie to see why non Indian on Indian crime on a reservation is such a problem. They could have delved into this a bit more.
Overall good movie, but it could have been much better.

Great movie for all the reasons already listed. Called my daughter from the parking lot after the movie and told her I love her.

I saw it over the weekend. Really liked it.
I have a feeling it will not be memorable though.
Hell or High Water was a movie I really enjoyed but made no lasting impression. Not sure I could give many details about the movie and it's only been a year since I seen it.
