Because the likes of you think that opposing Israel makes one a neo nazi, so I could care less about the name calling.

It's really amazing to see it in practice. You hear a lot about mental illness, but when it manifests itself in front of you, wrapped in ignorance. It is eye opening.

So was it 30 minutes of Trump?

Or did he do any of his investigative journalism stuff that I love him for?

Yes and no, lol... his topic was about truth and the media, but he often used Trump (but not entirely) as an example to drive his points home.

On a related note, I'm really looking forward to the feedback from the commercials being aired this morning in DC

He's best when he's doing pieces on government gone awry (i.e. civil forfeiture) and bringing up topics like that which aren't normally covered by the MSM

Agreed.

This season could be a make or break season for Oliver. I'm far from a Trump supporter, and I believe he does better than anyone else on destroying Trump... But he needs to walk lightly this season and stay away from Trump as much as possible.

I think you're underestimating how far left many of Oliver's viewers lean.

Noah not working has to do with being a charismatic host and replacing a legend (I'm not the biggest JS fan but he is a legend in that relm)

So John Oliver has already made it past the road blocks that Noah has had. Whether he kills trump or not, his show will be fine

Jon Stewart was enjoyable regardless of your political leanings, and he was fair to those guests who had opposing views.

Noah's content just seems so dumbed down. It only appeals to sheep, really.

I understand your point. But Noah just isn't clever nor funny. He's that guy we all know who continually cracks jokes even though his delivery and content is regurgitated shite. Oliver at least has original content, even when its Trump overkill.

I don't think he should stay away from Trump. Especially if Trump keeps giving him material.

The soa appeal of his show is shedding light on issues the masses have no idea about though

Im not saying the entire show should be about Trump. But a segment or two isn't a terrible thing.
