I mean yes, in the geriatric Ghostbusters...
If we're going for parallel, we'd be casting guys and gals at or near their 40's. Rudd, Galifinakis, etc.
Honestly, I've said since the beginning that there is a ton of young comedy talent that could do fun things with a couple of good movies.
I think Jeff could swing an Egon, even with a younger cast around him.

Dr. Peter Venkman - Chris Pratt
Dr. Egon Spengler - Ed Helms
Dr. Raymond Stantz - Jason Sudeikis
Winston Zeddmore - Our very own Anthony Mackie
Battled between Helms and Miles Teller for Spengler just because Teller is so good but Helms is older and fits the role a bit more in my opinion.

No one. If I had to pick, I wouldn't try and replicate the same character personas. The nerd, the mechanic/engineer, the black and the cool guy

I've seen a lot of odd choices listed. So far I'd say I've picked the best cast (by far). I know I chose first & you people probably didn't want to name the same actors I chose though.

James Roday
Dule Hill
Timothy Odmundson
Maggie lawson
I just made it all Psych actors but all I really care about is Roday and Hill as ghostbusters.

Nobody. The first Ghostbusters was only successful because it had three of the funniest comedians of all time at the height of their powers. That's why Ghostbusters II failed, and it's why every other Ghostbusters will fail.

Simon Pegg
Nick Frost
Martin Freeman
Paddy Considine
Directed by Edgar Wright.
First ghost they bust... Bill Nighy.
Could have the same blend of eerie, funny, and seriousness that the original had.
