Who are some famous (non-sports) people that live in New Orleans?

Any of y'all ever see them out in town? I'm NOT looking to star watch, just wondering. For some reason, it seems like New Orleans might be one of those places a celebrity might live to get away and not be seen.

Sandra B and Jesse James just bought a house around the corner by Commanders ... not sure how much she will be here
Lenny Kravitz owns a house still PT

Harry Shearer of the Simpsons fame
Alex Chilton before he passed yesterday (Big Star)
Goodman lives in the GD as well

Please don't be obnoxious with this. The stars who live here or who hang out in N.O. from time to time, like it that the locals don't "star gaze" at them all the time.

I once saw John Goodman driving range balls at City Park. I didn't bother him even though he was in the stall next to me and no one else bothered him. He seemed just as happy to be an ordinary guy doing an ordinary guy thing.

Wow, I meant I'm NOT looking to star watch (I never have). Going to edit that in now. Your 2nd comment is what I was figuring about celebs in New Orleans.

Yeah, when I used to run in Audubon Park I would see him working out there with Mackie Shilstone all the time. From what I could tell no one ever bothered him at all.

Goodman lives right inside orleans parish at the parish line by Metairie Road. See his Aston from time to time at Langenstein's
