Since we are in October, I will throw out that the bad guys won in Halloween III Season of the Witch.

I know it is off topic.

From what I've read, Infinity War Part 1 is going to be on at least the level of Empire Strikes Back.

Jonathan Moxon won in Varsity Blues. Pretty much ruined West Cannan.

Ultron should've won in the last movie. He should've slammed that city back into the earth after it was evacuated destroying the city did causing death and panic on the ground.

IIRC the whole point of dropping the city out of the sky was to create a cataclysmic meteor like collision causing an extinction level event so... considering that maybe him winning wouldn't have really worked.

And you didn't see Batman winning any Oscars.

Do movies overhyped by fanboys ever win Oscars?

If the jackasses that made Wanted would have did it right, that would have been your movie right there. The villains kill every single hero in the world. They control the world and do whatever they like. The conflict is because some bad guys want to truly frick shite up and others want to keep the status quo. Our "hero" rapes people, murders people for literally no reason whatsoever, and is an all round horrible person.

Marvel did a lit version of this with Old Man Logan, which I hear Fox is thinking about since they could use someone other than Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.

I was more referring to the Batman character compared to the Joker character (Heath Ledger).

If they ever move forward on making "The Boys", then we would get something like that. Although, the series is too long to make into a regular movie. It'll have to be a tv show, hopefully HBO or Netflix would do it. So much potential..

I have volume 1 & 2 of the Boys. I can't see them keeping it intact if it is ever brought to the screen. It will get neutred as well. I love Ennis (huge fan of his Welcome Back Frank stuff) but no one would have the balls to show half that stuff. Besides, while very violent, the Boys are still good guys. Yeah they murder capes, but only when they deserve it.

You need to read it all the way to the end. It's an epic story line with lots of twists and turns. I'm not spoiling anything, but there is a lot more to it.. you won't regret reading the rest, trust me..

No. Utilitarian does not equal evil.

Oh i will certainly try to finish it. Secret Wars and Crisis put me far being on my indy stuff. I plan to grab the next two volumes in November when I have a surplus to spend on comics.

There is a good bit of comic book material they can draw on.

Although a lot of people are saying Dr. Doom, I'd say Kang would be the best example. Dude conquered literally hundreds of worlds and time lines.

Though I do remember reading a comic about a Super Villan who was a pretty obvious Dr. Doom knock off that had succeeded in taking over the world and how he then found out it was just the drudgery of administering things that he had to look forward to. Can't remember what company put that out though.

You have a while to go. I think there are 10 or 12 volumes. The story really takes off at the end. I think I polished off the whole thing in less than a month.

I love Ennis writing though. Preacher was great and I'm a huge Punisher fan. I started reading "Crossed" but it is the most twisted thing I've ever read. I'm almost ashamed to admit to people that I still read it. It's a comic that will never become a movie or tv series. Which is a shame, cause it's a great premise..

Not a super villain by any means, but Daniel Larusso wins. He is a little brat who instigates everything and causes nothing but trouble the entire film, but still ends up winning in the end. Screw that guy.
