It's a comedy bruh. Have fun with it.

Looks like I am in the minority on this one, especially based on the box office. I guess it is good we are getting variety in our superhero movies. I'll stick with the Man of Steel type movies personally.

Man of Steel is one of my 5 favorite movies of all time.

I saw that. It in no way impacted how I felt about the movie. I've seen the movie probably 10 times by now.

I've never read a comic book in my life. I have no pre-conceived notions of what any comic book character is so supposed to be like. Superman was the perfect superhero as portrayed in Man of Steel.

But even I know Superman doesn't continue fighting in a city where the casualties continue to pile up because of him

Lol at you thinking he had a choice of where the fight would take place. Zod was hell bent on maximum death and destruction to hurt Superman.

Also, he had been Superman for roughly 2 days by this point with zero training against a life long warrior.

When does Guardians of the Galaxy get interesting?
The moment Star Lord presses play on his Walkman and "Come and Get Your Love" starts playing

See I'm the opposite. I don't like Superman because he is so indestructible.
I like my heroes/superheroes more when there is a legitimate chance they can lose.....but they don't.

Limiting yourself to boy scout types seems awfully restrictive.
Quill was rough around the edges, but was ultimately a good person. I can appreciate a little moral ambiguity. Seems more realistic.

There's the difference. I prefer a superhero free of any flaws. An ideal of perfection that we should all strive for even though we can never attain it. I don't want an excuse to be flawed or a superhero I can relate to. I want a superhero that inspires others toward that same ideal of perfection but is beyond reality.

Jesus is considered perfect and free of sin and someone we should all strive to emulate even though we can never truly do so. I love that Superman is basically the fictional version of Jesus, and I especially love when that allegory is pretty obvious, like in Superman Returns.

Yea, whatever. Look I loved Man of Steel too. Just because you loved one movie a lot doesn't mean you have to say anything not like it is crap. One is an epic smash em up movie, one is a fun comedy. It's called variety.
I'm not one of the ones saying GotG is the greatest Marvel movie ever, but I still had fun with it and thought it was hilarious. Try to broaden your horizons a little and enjoy a fun movie. Life will be better for you.

Dude, are you sure you're not a little drunk or a little high?
