What's the last good horror film you've seen?

I admit that scary movies don't really get to me, but in the spirit of Halloween I always watch them throughout October.
I remember liking "Dead Silence", because my uncle had a puppet when he was younger, and it for some reason was stored in my closet back in the day. That thing was creepy as hell
I've already watched the original Halloween series, but I guess I'm just looking for a recent movie that was solid. Rob Zombie's "Halloween" reboot was extremely mehh.
I feel like "The Strangers" had one of the best horror trailers if all time, but the villains in that were complete idiots.
I was pleasantly surprised how good "Scream 4" was when it felt like the franchise was going downhill. It had some funny moments in it too.
Thanks for the feedback

It Follows was great, IMO

As Above so Below is a movie I was creeped out by and enjoyed but would not say it was a must see. Insidious, Drag me to Hell, Babadook, Paranormal Activity are ones I've enjoyed recently. I think there is a certain way to scare people in films and the filmmakers in the late 70s and 80s just went with what they knew would scare an audience. It can happen today but it's rare.

The original Paranormal Activity legitimately freaked me out. I haven't watched much since then. I think the Exorcism of Emily Rose came out a couple years before that and it was good, but it's hard to pull off a top exorcism movie when it's compared to The Exorcist. It was still pretty solid IMO.
I enjoy Trick R Treat but I don't know that I can list that as "horror" as much as it's just a good, fun Halloween movie.
I have every intention of watching The Babadook this week since I've heard good things.

I was pleasantly surprised by the "remake" of "The Town That Dreaded Sundown". I say a remake, but it's actually a movie based upon the ramifications of the original movie which was based on true events.

Two new ones: Babadook and It Follows.
Two old(er) ones: Trouble Every Day and Inland Empire (may not be technically horror to some, but I found it scarier than most horror films I've seen).
Wishlist: Goodnight Mommy and The Witch.

We Are What We Are
this movie is now streaming on Netflix, came out in 2013. I don't want to spoil anything, you can look up details if you want.

Haven't watched a lot of them lately.
Maybe house of 1000 corpses or Devil's Rejects.

I watched Halloween 6 the other day. It's not nearly as bad as advertised, minus the incomprehensible ending.
