Probably SyFy or CNN.

It used to be the History Channel, but I hate just about everything on that channel these days.

Around 2000 I saw an article that said THC was the third most popular channel among adult males (after the ESPNs)

The problems were 1)that's among all males, not the precious 18-34 demo, and 2) that's males -- with a few exceptions covered by sports, advertisers want females, who they believe make the household purchasing decisions.

Women, especially young women, like reality TV. That's just a fact of life, like death and taxes.

Hard to say, but I really like watching movies.

When I'm really watching:

Series:
AMC (Breaking Bad)
FX (Justified)
TNT/TBS? (Southland)

Movies:
Best case to worse case scenario:
A ghetto premium channel (All I get are The Encores & Epix)-movies
Sundance Channel-movies
TCM-movies
Fox Movie Channel-movies
Independent Film Channel-movies
FX, Universal, BBC, AMC, TNT, TBS, etc.-movies

Other:
PBS-Frontline, Independent Lens, Nature, The American Experience, Secrets of the Dead, documentaries
TNT-NBA
ESPN-college football, College Football Live
The Networks (Fox, CBS, NBC, ABC)-sports
Fox SW-TX Rangers games

When not watching:
TCM-(while sleeping)
G4-cops (while surfing)
NBC Sports-Dan Patrick (while surfing)
CBS Sports-Timmy Brando (while surfing)

Watching John Carter on Encore now
