He needed to die. On my rewatch, I hated Christopher almost as much as Livia and Janice. Christopher whinned and cried like a bitch for most of the show. Shut up Chris, tired of hearing your complaining and if you mention that script one more time...

This is my vote:

The stripper Ralph beat to death was tough as well

As for the final scene, I interpreted it that it was us (the audience) that was whacked. Remember earlier in that episode, someone said when you die, everything just goes dark. We were the ones that got killed. (That's my take, anyway.)

Random thought for the thread - Dominic Chianese is good friends with Pacino, and appeared with him in GII, Dog Day Afternoon and ..And Justice for All.

He's also a musician and that's his singing voice for Uncle Junior in The Sopranos.

and this makes more sense to you than Tony? At the moment he should have seen someone enter the door? When the prior door openings all showed a person entering from Tony's perspective?

Adrian's death was important to snap viewers back to the reality that these guys were cold blooded murderers who would kill anyone, good person or bad, for a nickel.

Killing their friend Big Puss while looking him in the face and he knew it was coming did that as well.

Again, Chrissy's intervention was one of the high points of TV history.

I always found Tony beating Ralph to death to be difficult to watch.

That fight was brutal, and then it slowly ends with Tony suffocating him to death with his bare hands. Great illustration of how brutal Tony could really be.

Hah. I just finished mine as well.

For me, it was Christopher's. He was my favorite character on the show as I thought his character had the most depth.

I understand Tony's disgust with Christopher as he glanced back into the rear of the vehicle to see the exposed child seat, but Christopher was in a no-win situation being associated with the characters in the show. He would attempt to better himself and he'd only catch shite from all the other guys (Tony included).

Seeing Tony pinch Christopher's nostrils shut (someone who Tony arguably had a closer and more fond relationship with than AJ) was tough.

Big Puss's death I'd the highlight of the series to me. They loved dude. Understood why he did it. Yet he had to go. And they did it. He understood why. That whole boat ride was uneasy

The first time I watched, I thought Paulie was next when they were on the boat in Miami.

Fuuuccccckkkkkk I grew to hate AJ. I laughed my arse off when Tony informed AJ of Bobby's death and told him to pack his things up. AJ started crying and spewing out his typical woe, is me and "how can this happen...I'm so depressed" bullshite. Tony just threw him off the bed and threw some of AJ's clothes on top of him and looked at him in disgust.

always the innocent people who were caught in the wake

Adriana was no angel, but it bothered me so much

the waiter paulie and chris murder

tracy, everyone's favorite cocksucking slob

sopranos isn't my favorite series, but I think it is probably the GOAT, and I never saw tony as an anti hero, it wasn't a gray area...the only good guys are the people whose lives are ruined by the crime and corrupting influence of organized crime.

When the series ended, Tony fought a war with NY and essentially won. From one perspective, you can look at Tony Soprano's final scene as a man at the height of his power. He'd lost every relative and friend he'd ever made to get there, but he had made the NJ 'crew' an independent family.

Completely agree. In my ending, Tony lives and won.

Maybe the stripper for me because Ralph was such a shithead. I hated his character

And the waiter getting killed sucked. Real piece of shite move

Bobby's death was tough to watch.
I really enjoyed his arc from fat child like idiot to ruthless and respected gangster; however, it was sad. Tony destroys anything he comes into contact with; however, that made his death even more sad as he died in the toy train store so it was the old bobby that was being murdered.

only bad guy that died that was sad

Yeah, I don't really feel bad about most of the deaths. They were horrible people. Tracee was bad. Felt bad for the poor, dumb who-ore. I forgot about the waiter. Just rewatched that scene. That was pretty bad. It would be interesting to see a list of all the actually innocent people who were killed. I imagine it's kind of a small list.

You can add the old man and his daughter that were mistaken for another guy. Both foreign people

Just watched a montage that had that scene.
