Don't know about the longest, but Band of Brothers is over 2 minutes.

What immediately came to mind when I saw the thread title. The score is incredible, though, so it never bothered me.

The Newsroom was long af too.

ETA: Newsroom is 2:35, outpacing the paltry 2:23 put up by Band of Brothers.

ETA2: It looks like Hewsroom either ties or beats Twin Peaks depending upon which YouTube version you watch. One is 2:34, which ties TP, and another one is 2:35, beating it by a second.

I remember this because the first time I saw it, I thought that's a good opening if a bit long. Later in the series it became more and more difficult to watch it because of all the evoked memories of things the company went through.

I consider this to be the best opening to any show. The music, the scenes, it's perfect.

GoT is like the one show whose intro I pay attention to the most because I like seeing the realm built up and where they're taking you in that episode.

Depends on if you're referring to Flying Circus (which did come on TV) or one of the movies. Can't remember if the Flying Circus Intros were long

Not a show but I just finished watching all 4 Christopher reeve superman movies and the opening credits are painfully long. I guess that's standard for 70s and 80s movies.
