hat's the scene that immediately came to my mind too!! I still watch it but every time I do, I still yell at that crying coward to run up the stairs and shoot the German soldier but nope. Just a sad situation seeing Pvt Mellish struggle for his life while freaking Upham cowards on the stairs just a few feet away. I despise Upham's character and that scene so much I don't care for Jeremy Davies' parts since SPR lol.

Goes to show you how much Hollywood and the Media have given us a false image of how all soldiers during WWII were fearless and bravely fought the super evil Nazis like comic book heroes. The point of Upham's character was to show you that they were actually scared shitless. But, that goes over just about everyone's head because they can't possibly grasp the concept of an American soldier not actually being a badass superhero. It was the 2nd best part of the movie outside of the epic D-Day landing.

Not familiar with such a club. We usually share similar opinions

Movie blows. Typical of Hollywood to spoonfeed an anti racism message as if we don't know that racism is bad. Nevermind that it is horribly, horribly shot

Bridge to Terabithia.

If you've seen it, you know which part I'm talking about. If you haven't seen it, get the kleenex.

The scene with his dad after he was dead and rewound to the office scene.

One of the final scenes with him on the ground in the rain talking to his kids.

This was the most unexpected time I've ever choked up. It gets me every time

The "sad" part was added late to the thread title.

Last of the Mohicans, when the girl is contemplating jumping (and the great score is playing), I cry evertim.

When Tom Hanks loses Wilson.

"You are all my reasons" from A Beautiful Mind.

All are tear-inducing, but not too sad to watch.

Shutter Island

Seeing small children's bodies floating, lifeless, in the water. Knowing that they had been drowned.
I had two children the same age when I first saw that scene. I had to leave the room. I still can't watch anything with cruelty to children.
