To each his own...

But this isn't a "What are the best comedies of all time", its "What is your favorite", which is completely different.

Dr Strangelove and Some Like it Hot is almost always in the top 3 of lists in regards to greatest comedies, but nobody has listed that one either

Personally, I'm disappointed (though not surprised) that no one has mentioned anything by The Marx Brothers, Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, or Harold Lloyd. I guess it is difficult for people to appreciate how influential they are even to this day.

Not only a great comedy...but poignant...and one of the earliest bromance comedies on film.

Well, to piggyback off another post, it's what is your favorite comedy, not what is the most influential comedy.

That being said, The Jerk is the correct answer to both.
