Loved the show late 80's. Holds up well. Great blend of characters. Wish Sammy could land Rebecca. Lol moments.

ou can even argue that replacing Coach with Woody and Diane with Rebecca were upgrades.
only by a retarded person. Woody was good but not nearly as good as Coach, and Rebecca was just a whiny gold digger. The chemistry between Ted and Shelley was outstanding.

the best thing that ever happened to Cheers was when that uppity, bitch Diane left

Must keep in mind that Cheers was filmed in front of a live audience. When ranking sitcoms, I believe they must be divided between a live audience and not in front of live audience. There is a huge difference. That being said...yes, Cheers is one of the greatest sitcoms ever. The writing was edgy for its time and very well written.

I love the show but for some reason the theme song has always depressed me.

Coach was awesome. Yogi Berra awesome.

Cheers had some great characters. It's interesting how they changed over the years.

I like Diane more than Rebecca. But I think Woody was an upgrade over Coach. And Coach was great! But Woody had better chemistry with Norm, Cliff and Dr. Crane.

Cliff Claven GOAT

Cliff on Jeopardy. Goes into Final Jeopardy with $22,000. Final Jeopardy Category Movies. Answer is: "Archibald Leach, Bernard Schwartz and Lucille Lesuer"

Cliff's answer: "Who are 3 people who've never been in my kitchen"

Trebek: I'm sorry, that is wrong.

Cliff's reply: "Wait a minute, Alex. I can offer conclusive proof that those three people have never been in my kitchen."

Cliff bets everything and commences to argue with Alex that he is correct and should be the winner!

(Lilith walks in, looking more depressed than usual)
Sam: Hey Lilith, can I get you something?
Lilith: Oh Sam, I feel like such a loser. Do you have a drink for losers at Cheers?
Sam: Hang on a minute.. (turns to one of the old guys at the end of the bar)..what you drinkin' there, Phil??
Phil: (indignantly) A Manhattan!
Sam (to Lilith): How about a Manhattan?

One of the GOAT sitcoms. And unlike many other greats (cough M*A*S*H* cough) it didn't fall into suckitude in its final seasons. In fact, the last "Bar Wars" with Gary's Olde Towne Tavern is one of the best episodes in the entire series.

Alltime great show.

Absolutely loved the chemistry, and there are some priceless moments... the trip to the opera, for example. Norm popping a tall-boy he smuggled in

Cliff should be the avatar for Google
