The first season of Sons of Anarchy stayed pretty true to Hamlet. It obviously abandoned that arc even before it went completely off the rails but what a brilliant two year series they could have made. (Although I completely understand them stretching it out for the money.)

Romeo and Juliette (1968) was awesome.
I'd like to see a serious Macbeth and Julius Caesar done as well.

Didn't realize that was Shakespeare.
The high school that was filmed at looks insanely cool.
That's a great date movie. It gets ladies in the mood and it's pretty damn good.

I want to see a legit version of The Tempest. And an epic three part Henry V.
This would be awesome. In fact, if they wanted to go truly epic they could do the entire Henriad, or if they wanted to focus mainly on Henry V I would love it if they at least did some flashbacks to I&II Henry IV.
Hal, Hotspur, and Falstaff done well onscreen could be as epic as anything HBO has done.

10 Things I Hate About You is the best one I know of.
What I want to see, though, is the version of Hamlet starring Arnold Swarzenegger we saw the trailer for in Last Action Hero.

Branagh's Henry V is one of my top 10 movies of any kind.
I also enjoyed his version of Much Ado About Nothing -- partially because I love to heckle Keanu Reeves. The cast had other unlikely members like Denzel, Kate Beckinsale, and Michael Keaton. The movie has issues, but there are a lot of the same actors from Henry V. They, and the stunning scenery and cinematography, save the movie.

Richard the III. Laurence Olivier. Nothing else is close.

I was a kid and my parents were watching Romeo and Juliet.
Olivia Hussey's brief nude scene was the first time I remember seeing boobies.
It was life changing.
