The only one I can remember much is the '89 version of Henry V. And part of Mel Gibson's Hamlet. (and for some reason a still of MacBeth and MacDuff about to get into it in one of the old movies from an old high school lit book always stuck with me).
Any recommendations?
And what would you like to see done with a good budget now? Maybe a Julius Ceasar with Roman locations, or a MacBeth with Birnam Wood "coming" to Dunsinane?

The 60s version of Romeo and Juliet was good.

Henry V is GOAT. "Titus" starring Anthony Hopkins is very good, too.

Loved Hamlet with Kenneth Branagh

I really like this one. I haven't seen it in many years. Kenneth Branagh is a pretty legit actor that it seems you don't see around too often anymore.
There's always the classic Zeffirelli version of Romeo and Juliet. I liked that one, but it's probably mostly because I remember being mesmerized by Olivia Hussey when I was a teenager.

Pure Shakespeare: Lawrence Oliver's Hamlet
Contemporary; Mel Gibson's Hamlet

As someone who taught R&J to 9th graders, I loved the Leo version from the 90s.
Actually got them interested in the story and I got to talk about Radiohead.

Mine is Olivier's Richard III from 1955.
The opening soliloquy is one of my favorite scenes ever. It actually combines the opening of Richard III with another soliloquy from Richard in King Henry VI Part III.

Why, I can smile, and murder whiles I smile,
And cry 'Content' to that which grieves my heart,
And wet my cheeks with artificial tears,
And frame my face to all occasions.
I'll drown more sailors than the mermaid shall;
I'll slay more gazers than the basilisk;
I'll play the orator as well as Nestor,
Deceive more slily than Ulysses could,
And, like a Sinon, take another Troy.
I can add colours to the chameleon,
Change shapes with Proteus for advantages,
And set the murderous Machiavel to school.
Can I do this, and cannot get a crown?
Tut, were it farther off, I'll pluck it down.

I will not lie, I crushed quite greatly on Claire Danes' Juliet back in the day.
The 1968 release of Romeo and Juliet is fantastic.
Olivier's Hamlet is a masterpiece performance.
The 2015 production of Macbeth is flawed in its overall direction but Michael Fassbender delivers a profound portrayal and the Birnam Wood scene is intense.

Hated that Macbeth. Other than the cinematography, I hated everything about it. I do not like the direction they took the characters in.

True, it could have been and should have been much better.
