After not having satellite TV for 5 years I've recently had it installed and scanning through the the schedule of the history channel there is nothing but reality shows what happened to world war II documentaries etc. Also is there not a military channel anymore. I remember having a lot better programming the last time I had sat tv

well, they can't keep playing the same thing over and over. I enjoy American Pickers and Vikings.

The American viewing public gets dumber and dumber with each passing year. Reality shows get tons of viewers and are a pretty good return on investment I'd imagine.

I'm not saying it was aliens, but it was aliens.

Discovery hit a home run with Deadliest Catch and American Chopper. History has been trying to respond ever since.

All of the good old military shows are on AHC now ... it's a spinoff of History.

History2 or History International is better than History now.

This is true. There are some shows that I think could fit on the History Channel, like American Pickers. It does appear that most of their "new" programming is reality show based.

You've got to watch History during the middle of the weekdays to catch actual history content.
