Bad show with bad characters and awful writing. If I want to watch zombies I'll watch Dawn of the Dead or something.

Again when anyone stating a TWD opinion that involves Dawn of the Dead/calls it "that zombie show" it shows they are being hipster IE its cool to hate on zombie shows when the show isn't even about either neither is the comic book. Its a modern western and the walkers serve the same plot device that indians do in the classic western.

As has anyone who watches the show, but the problem that makes it hipster is the absolute refusal to admit ANYTHING was good about 2 or 3 including from people who didn't even watch them.

You use the word hipster like an old man screaming at kids to get off his lawn.

You're giving it far more credit than it deserves. Rest my case that it's simply a show for stupid people.

Scott Gimple is the new showrunner, he directed pretty much all of the good episodes from last season.

I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

I am expecting a more tense Season 4 with him at the helm, a much more character driven show

I didn't know it was a hipster thing to think last season wasn't that good. I guess I'm cooler than I thought.

You got me. I hate TWD because it's hip and trendy to hate TWD.

I love how every Walking Dead thread is full of people saying how the show sucks and is boring now but the threads for each episode will all still be 30+ pages

Because the show should be up there with Breaking Bad and Mad Men as an AMC elite series. But, for some reason, the writers squander everything away with horrible characters, plodding storylines, and the obligatory (and now tedious) zombie action scene. We desperately want it to be something it will never be.

FWIW, I am completely done with show. Like I said, after the season 3 finale, no more fricks will be given here. Unfortunately, it seems AMC feels the same way as long as the show gets monster ratings, which it will.

End of season two and the first half of season three was great IMO . Hate how they ended last season.

If they had a moat the show would be better than BB.

They got plenty of people from Woodbury think we might see a moat around the prison?

Some of the best episodes on season 3, clear and this sorrowful life, were written by Scott gimple who is now the current showrunner. it will be A LOT better

Its so weird I just chalk it up to the hipster angle but it seems people refuse to be pleased at all with the Walking Dead. Especially for instance Michael Rooker's amazing job last year with Merle.

I don't get it either honestly.

I'll watch it. But the past 2 seasons were just average in my opinion. Within each season though there would be greatness, like the last half if season 2, and the first half of season 3. But then just as there is greatness there is the pits if each season. The first half of season 2 was the pits, and the last half of season 3 was just meh. And with (season 3 Spoilers)

......the governor rage quitting it really left a bitter taste in my mouth and seeing that we are still at the prison and not moving to a new set piece doesn't boost my confidence in this season. To me after BB has gone off AMC doesn't have much content for me anymore.

Le610N of course those times that sucked were when there were transitions/behind the scenes power struggles between Darabont and Kirkman and then Mazzara and Kirkman.
