Feels like last seasons episode 1 blew it out the water in pages

Everyone was freaking out because of the closing line in the first episode

I figured those stakes were where pilings were to be driven into the ground for some type of foundation.

btw with an episode pretty chock full of hotties, my Lord I think the winner of E1 is the mayor's slampiece. Geez she was fine, her butt is also quite taut...you can see from the way it reacts to him squeezing it in the first scene we see her in.

Looking back, episodes 2, 3, and 4 were all right around 32 pages. I can't find an S1E1 thread, just a seaoson 1 preview thread, which also went about 30.

Didn't find any of the characters likeable. will give it the 3 episode rule.

they aren't meant to be. they are all on a self destructive path, and this case will either save them or kill them

'll disagree with this, they are featuring a part of LA probably never seen in movies or tv. After the first 20 minutes or so i was really perplexed as to why the southern industrial part of LA was the focal point, but by the end of show it made more sense as the scenery really fit the mood of the show.
fwiw...they specifically had long shots of "Power Plants" a few times....

they also had at least one long shot of the grapevine, which although is a completely different part of LA, still has that industrial feel since its the main route for all the truckers going in and out of SoCal from central and northern cali.

I tend to lean towards PTSD (sexual issues can go along with anxiety/stress) but I don't necessarily know that it all stems from things that happened in the Army. He talks about his scars being from pre-Army. Could be an abuse issue or something along those lines.

Agreed.
Scars. Won't stay the night. Wet spaghetti noodle.
Something beyond fricked up happened to him. He's gonna start mowing in circles soon.

I think he was abused by a step dad or something. That may be too cliche, so it might be a neighbor or something.

Looks like burns. Also, there could likely be sexual abuse as well causing his limp unit.

Did anybody else catch the waitress at the bar where Farrell and Vaughn met? Her face was burned, right? Maybe there's a connection there.

Kitsch's girlfriend...is she the girl that is "missing"?

So, how many times did you watch this episode if you're so sure? Because I saw it one time and the first thing I (and the GF) thought of when I (we) saw her was "that's the missing girl."

We have pictures

And they are listed as two different actresses on imdb

One is considerably older than the other

They look similar but are not the same

That's what I remember as well... don't think it was a burn.
