Broadcasting lady must be the shite. She talked to Godric like he was a bitch. I don't think she is more powerful physically, she just represents the badass vamps so she is not messed with.

I think she has been given the PR duties of vamp nation and as so, her only power is as the official face, so to speak....but I'm just guessing.
I also think the longer you've been around Mary Ann, the faster you turn or black out. Which is why Eggs does it so fast and now Tara, and why Andy or Lafayette haven't been affected, because they aren't around her.

Well do you remember the first party she had she gave out that punch. Maybe that helped them blackout faster.

With regards to the books:
I too am simply curious as to how the books differ from the series; HOWEVER, I don't want to hear what happens NEXT in the books. I think it fine to talk about the books up to the point where the show was aired...but NOT about what happens NEXT in the books.
Simply typing spoilers, and then a couple lines DOES NOT WORK. Want to talk about what happens next in the books...START A BOOK THREAD.

I started watching this show recently cause they filmed it about 2 miles from my house. So after about 3 episodes I am hooked. What or who exactly is this Mary Ann chick?
