LINK

I liked Angels & Demons and Da Vinci Code, so I'll probably like this one too.

I'm just curious to see if they keep the movie ending the same as the book ending.

I hope they keep it the same.

I think I enjoyed the book but I honestly don't remember much from the book other than then ending.

Really liked the book and the ending of the book. I leave for Italy tomorrow so it was pretty cool seeing the sites on the trailer that I am about to go visit.

Dan Brown's prose leaves a lot to be desired, but damn if his research isn't outstanding. I really loved Inferno and am excited to see this. I do wish that Ron Howard wasn't directing again. He's professional and good at what he does, but kinda boring.

Spot on for me.

I thought both the ending, and the twist that preceded it, were both really good.

Book was really good.

However, Angels and Demons and the Da Vinci Code films left a lot to be desired for us who read the books. They weren't terrible, but I wasn't totally satisfied with either. Hopefully this one does better.

I agree with this. What makes the books fun is how fast-paced they are. I would advise any ASOIAF fan to pick up a Dan Brown book afterwards just to see the contrast.

The films completely lacked that "suck you in" and cement block on the gas pedal feeling. They kind of just plod along predictably.

That was an excellent book; I couldn't put it down. I hope they keep the ending; it was nice to see that Langdon didn't save the world with seconds to spare, but at the same time it was not over the top.

Movies aren't capable of explaining all the research and plot connections through dialogue (internal or external) like a book can through text. It would get cumbersome and boring. The Martian had the same problem, but did an admirable job anyway, IMO.

Easily my least favorite of the four, to be honest.

Was going to post the same thing. It's the only Dan Brown book I've read. But I saw the movies for DaVinci and A&D.

Would it be a bad idea to read the others AFTER seeing the movie? I don't think I've ever read a book that I saw the movie first.

I've read a number of Dan Brown's books and enjoyed all of them. They are all fast paced, easy reads, and appear to be very well researched.

My only complaint with Dan Brown is that after you read one or two of his books you can start to see a 'formula' approach to his novels and some of the twists and turns become predictable.

I haven't read any of his books post 'DaVinci Code' so this may have changed. Either way, Inferno looks great, guess I need to pick up the book before the movie hits.

I can agree with this. I have read every Dan Brown book and he's one of my favorite authors because every book of his moves very fast and are really hard to put down. They can become a little predictable though when you've read them all.

Really looking forward to this movie, I really enjoyed the book.

I saw Da Vinci Code before I read any of the books. Then I read Angels and Demons and admittedly didn't see the twist coming (and wasn't quite thrilled with it, to be honest). After that I read Da Vinci Code (obviously already knowing the outcome). The Lost Symbol "twist" was almost absurdly easy to predict. Definitely did not predict the main twists of Inferno.

I wonder how they will try to handle the FS-2080 twist. Much easier on paper.

INFERNO SPOILERS BELOW:

The best part about Inferno is that, in the end, you realized the antagonist was really the only one looking out for the human race
