Holy shite. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. But the ammunition they gave clarkson and crew; the grand tour is going to be glorious.

Half way through and it's been pretty bad so far. So much potential for the ACR vs ZO6 and they waste it on laser tag. Evans' voice grates on my nerves.

That was a trolljob, right? The boys will be on the set next week, and Joey will go back to being a really shitty actor back here in the states, on Nickelodeon.

I really do think, and I'm cool with not agreeing with most people, that Leblanc could carry this as the lead.
He was great on his own, and when he was doing his best to make Evans look better. He could do this.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but it wasn't anywhere near good. There was nothing new or original about it. Same show rebooted with terrible actors.
A few random thoughts:
1) Chris Evans is terrible. He's a hyperactive twerp who yells non stop.
2) Leblanc did ok, but he was so robotic and had a hard time selling a pre scripted gag.
3) You can tell that the rumors about Evans and Leblanc not liking each other are true. There was no on screen chemistry and Leblanc looked visibly agitated a few times.
4) The rally cross lap is fricking stupid
5) The audience was not into it at all and even came close to booing when the joke about Clarkson was made.
Again, it wasn't as terrible as I thought it would be, but it had no redeeming qualities. I won't be going out of my way to tune in, although I wouldn't turn it off if it happened to be on and there was nothing else to watch.

They started off by taking a shot at clarkson and the catering crew. Kept referencing things clarkson would say like "and on that bombshell" and anything else that was disputed with their exodus.

I don't like the MAerican version because I dislike the main guy so much. The other two aren't bad and the show tries, but these shows, casting is everything.

The American version is just a regurgitation of all the old UK challenges. Their car reviews are lame/lacking.

Really rubs me the wrong way. So stupid.
First of all, they should be gracious about receiving the opportunity to ride on Clarkson's coat-tails.
