Just came from seeing it. it was a great movie. It gave me the feeling I got watching movies when I was a kid (E.T., Explorers).

It maybe a little boring for kids under 11 or so. It is a Pre-teen/teenage movie, with a little violence and some language.

My 8 year old loved it.

When I saw at the end credits that David Lindelof was a writer I said "Ah ha!" to myself.

My 7 year old wants to go see it. How was the violence? She usually watches cartoons or Sesame Street type stuff, so I'm not sure how she will do at a movie with real people in it.

Is that the Lost guy who crapped onto paper and called it "Prometheus?"

It's Damon, btw.

Maybe from people with no imagination.

As for the violence, some fist fighting, and laser play, no blood.

I also heard it was nothing but hippie propaganda pushing global warming. No thanks. I'm tired of buffoons getting my money.

I enjoyed it. I brought my 7 year old. The one scene she didn't like was the car accident. A little too real in my opinion.

Sorry you are a closed minded idiot. It does have a "Save the World" undertone, but no more the "Day After Tomorrow" and other world disaster movies.

Enjoy renting "Caddyshack II"

Great movie. Quite a few good jokes/comedic scenes.

Clooney is Clooney. The chick from under the dome can be hot in a white trash kind of way.

and one more thing....

Slight Spoiler Alert...

It wasn't about Global Warming, etc. It actually says that Global Warming, etc are all generated by a machine in Tomorrowland, and not actually happening.

It was boring and pointless, and I have plenty of imagination.

Way too long to get to the meat of the movie, only to find that there's no meat at all.

I liked the movie as well, but this isn't true at all. The "machine" in the movie was just projecting a possible future into the subconscious of the population. The population then accepted that future, because it had lost its optimism, and did nothing to change the bleak future including global warming. Hence, the whole end of the world scenario.

I was kind of shocked that a disney flick was showing the murder of police officers.

Day After Tomorrow is one of the worst offenders though. That's like saying "This guy does have the genocidal undertone to him, but no more than Adolf Hitler or other brutal dictators."

It was okay. Not great, but not terrible. Da hell was with all the anti-government shite though?

Also, why the frick did they not make this in 3d? They made this great new world with crazy technologies and amazing colors and great scenes, and no 3d? When I first heard about this movie, I thought they were going to blow people away with the 3d harder than avatar did for everyone.

I'm 24 and me and my girlfriend loved it. Don't know why it's getting a bad wrap. You hit nail on head. It's one of those movies that takes you to another place.

I thought it was okay, wasn't blown away. Though to be fair, I did watch it right after LSU lost to Florida Saturday.
