Go take a ook at the votes on the posts in question. Regardless, no amount of votes changes that what you said made no sense.

He apparently isn't getting his fill of pointless, grating arguments on the OT, so he felt the need to bring his shtick over to the M/TV board.

Take it up with the guy that makes no sense. If anyone other than me had said it, you'd be agreeing.

So does Jian Yang take over the incubator since he has money now?

You're right. I'll dumb it down for you next time.

Russ Hanneman FTW. He could easily take over Ehrlich's role. Maybe he will buy the house.

I hope Ehrlich's goes out in a blaze of glory. Maybe he will OD on Mary Jane.

It was already dumbed down, which is why I questioned it in the first place. You really suck at trying to be condescending.

This is probably for the best. Let's be honest, Erlich is kind of a slum lord in tech terms. He provides a house and just takes 10% off anything created.

It's genius concept but he really didn't excel at anything in the show besides providing a house and contrast to introverted tech guys.

He is still a good part of the show.

I don't want more Russ. We get just enough Russ IMO.

Shelly Long, Wayne Rogers and David Caruso say hi.

Or at least, they would if anyone knew who the frick they are anymore.

Never, EVER leave a successful series in the height of its popularity. As Bachman, he brought a lot to the show. Everything else he does is just garden variety assclownery.

I think the show transitions to how they handle success next season so there are ample opportunities to introduce new characters

Bachman is a funny character but Pied Piper has grown enough that the guys can be much more dismissive of his tomfoolery unlike in the beginning. I'm not going to say it's time for Bachman to go, but they had to create Jian Yang to give him a plot line to work with, so I do think the show will be able to be good without him.

Well, that's it for silicon valley. He is easily the best character on the show.

FWIW I don't foresee Silicon Valley going beyond 6-7 seasons due to the storyline. And I say this as someone who's been watching it since S1.

I actually don't mind this. I never really thought much of Erlich.

Has anyone seen the ads for his stand-up special? It looks awful.

Agreed. I think next season is when the success kicks in.

They could have their own offices, or be working with Monica and Laurie...

Or Gavin comes back recharged, somewhat sane, and they are working closely with Gavin.

Come on. Erlich is perhaps the best pitchman in TV history and got every VC in Silicon Valley to go after Pied Piper while jacking off in a bathroom stall.

Usually I tend to not like the more outlandish and over-the-top characters in comedy series/movies. The ones that seem to try too hard are a big turn off for me. Erlich is one of the few that carries the show.

Same, and I think he'll try that recipe in a more featured role and will probably fail to recapture what he has at Silicon Valley. I'm not saying it's a bad career move, I get striking while it's hot, but I just don't think I'll personally enjoy what he does next as much.

I listened to TJ on the most recent episode of The Nerdist podcast and he sounded bored with Silicon Valley. He said he wants to focus on his stand up and take on more challenging roles.

He said Silicon Valley needs to change to stay fresh and he thinks him leaving will help force that change
